Description:
Ceclor is a broad spectrum second generation cephalosporin antibiotic covering both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
Indications:
Otitis media
Respiratory tract infections
Urinary tract infections
Skin and soft tissue infections
Sinusitis
Gonococcal urethritis
Dosage:
Children:
20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours. In more severe infections, otitis media and infections caused by less susceptible organisms,40 mg/kg/day in divided doses with a maximum dosage of 1 g/day.
Ceclor 187 mg/ 5 ml is indicated in Pharyngitis (20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours) & Otitis media (40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours).
