Composition:

 

2 ml solution of Calfina
injection contains 100 mg of tramadol hydrochloride.

 
 

Description:

 

Calfina Injection contains Tramadol hydrochloride. Tramadol is a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic. The analgesic profile of tramadol is attributed to the binding of parent and M1 metabolite to μ-opioid receptors and weak inhibition of reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin.

 
 

Indications:

 

Calfina Injection is indicated
for moderate to severe pain. Calfina injection is a potent medicinal
product for the relief of pain, e.g. in wound pain, fractures, severe nerve
pain, tumour pain, heart attack. It should not be used for minor pain.
The-effect sets in quickly and lasts for some hours.

 
 

Dosage:

 

The dose should be adjusted to
the intensity of the pain and the sensitivity of the individual patient.
The lowest effective dose for analgesia should generally be selected. The
total daily dose of 400 mg tramadol hydrochloride should not be exceeded,
except in special clinical circumstances.

The Calfina solution is for parenteral injection either intramuscularly, by slow intravenous injection or diluted in solution for administration by infusion or patient controlled analgesia.

 

Adults and children 12 years and over:
The usual dose of Calfina is 50 mg or 100 mg 4 to 6 hourly by either intramuscular or intravenous routes. Intravenous injections must be given slowly over 2–3 minutes. The dose should be adjusted according to the severity of the pain and the response.


For post-operative pain, an initial bolus of 100 mg is administered. During the 60 minutes following the initial bolus, further doses of 50 mg may be given every 10-20 minutes, up to a total dose of 250 mg including the initial bolus. Subsequent doses should be 50 mg or 100 mg 4-6 hourly up to a total daily dose of 400 mg.

Indications:

CALFINA CR is indicated for the
management of moderate to moderately severe chronic pain in adults who
require around-the-clock treatment of their pain for an extended period of
time.

 

Dosage:


Adults (18 years of age and over)


CALFINA CR should be initiated at a dose of 100 mg once daily and titrated
up as necessary by 100 mg increments every five days to relief of pain and
depending upon tolerability. CALFINA CR should not be administered at a
dose exceeding 300 mg per day.

Briax

Generic:

Piroxicam Beta-Cyclodextrin

 

Therapeutic Class:

ANTIRHEUMATIC NON-STEROID

 

Composition:

Each Briax tablet contains 20 mg
piroxicam (as Beta-Cyclodextrin) for oral administration.

 

Description:

Briax contains piroxicam which
is a member of the oxicam group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
(NSAIDs).

 

Indications:

Briax is indicated for the treatment of painful conditions and inflammation in rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis), musculoskeletal affections (tendinitis, bursitis, post-traumatic pain); post-operative pain & primary dysmenorrhea.

 

Dosage:

Adults


The recommended daily dose is one Briax tablet daily, preferably with or
after food.

Children


The use of Briax tablet in children is not recommended. 

The Elderly


In elderly patients, it may be necessary to reduce the dosage (half a
tablet), and limit the duration of treatment. Again, it is preferable to
take the dose with or after food.

Description:

Axid Neo is a proton pump
inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of
the H+/K+-ATPase in the gastric parietal cell. By acting specifically on
the proton pump, Axid Neo blocks the final step in acid production, thus
reducing gastric acidity. This effect is dose-related up to a daily dose of
20 to 40 mg and leads to inhibition of gastric acid secretion.

Indications:

The use of Analar in children is not recommended.Adults:
For relief of painful muscle spasms:The dose of Analar is 2 to 4 mg thrice daily. In severe conditions, an extra dose of 2 or 4 mg may be taken at night.For spasticity due to neurological disorders:
The initial daily dose may be increased stepwise at half-weekly or weekly intervals by 2 to 4 mg but initially it should not exceed 6 mg given in 3 divided doses. The optimum therapeutic response is achieved when daily dose is between 12 and 24 mg, administered in 3 to 4 divided doses. The total daily dose should not exceed 36 mg.

Each All-D drop contains Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – 400 IU.

 

Description:

 

All-D (Cholecalciferol) is one
of the five forms of vitamin D. Cholecalciferol is synthesized in the skin
from 7-dehydrocholesterol under the action of ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation
from sunlight depending on the intensity of the UVB in the sunlight –
determined by latitude, season, cloud cover, and altitude – and the age and
degree of pigmentation of the skin. Vitamin D is important for the
absorption of calcium and for the functioning of calcium in the body.

 

Indications:

All-D (Cholecalciferol) is used to treat or prevent many conditions caused by lack of vitamin D, especially conditions of the skin or bones. Vitamin D is used to treat and prevent bone disorders (such as rickets & Osteomalacia), prevent bone loss (osteoporosis). Vitamin D drops (or other supplements) are given to breast-fed infants because breast milk usually has low levels of vitamin D.

Indications:

Abnil is indicated: 

  • For obesity management including weight loss and weight maintenance when used in conjunction with a reduced-calorie diet.

  • For obese patients with an initial body mass index   in the presence of other risk factors (eg, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia).
